1936 Ford 5 Window Coupe: Absolutely all Steel and Very Real... Cars of this stature getting so hard to find! Turn key and runs like a Swiss Watch! Let's get on with what we know...

Solid history takes us back more than 17yrs in the dry high desert area of southern Idaho when the proud owner passed on and forwarded this family jewel onto his grandkids trust fund. As a councilman in Gooding, Idaho, Grandpa would participate in annual parades, tossing candy to the spectators! His daughter, executor of the trust found a nice spot in her garage in Nampa, Idaho where it could be petted, covered, protected from the elements, started annually and rarely operated. The grandkids always had visions of turning it into a Hot-Rod but Mom would have no part of it!  Recently a family decision was made to convert it into cash for College Education to be divided equally among the grandkids...

Mechanically, cosmetically and structurally, she is in wonderfully well preserved condition. The daughter is not aware of every thing Dad did and/or has records, other than, "he spent many years and quite a bit of money restoring her and was very proud if her, it is what you see today"!! What we do know, is that that when presented to us for representation, we simply put in a new battery, checked all fluids gas/oil/coolant, flipped the ignition switch, pushed the start button and she started instantly without a burp and/or smoke! She purred like a kitten and drove incredibly easy! We grabbed a bucket, a few towels, gave her a simple bath, inspected, test drove and digitally documented her for you!  It's now residing in our indoor showroom, awaiting a new caretaker!

Body wise, appearing as a complete & thorough body-off cosmetic/mechanical restoration! Our inspection reveals a whistle straight and an absolutely right original "STEEL" body with spectacular fenders and wonderfully solid original floor plans. Yes, they all appear as 100% Henry Steel and the Grill is pristine! The 17+ year young body prep/refinish is of professional quality fit and finish, showing extremely well with very minimal age/use flaws, a minor complete detail/cut/buff/wax would further enhance her beauty! Yes, the front window still cranks out, the rear window rolls down and the cowl vent operates! Other noted body items appearing restored are pristine bumpers, door window whiskers, front/qtr window rubbers, roof canvas, running board rubber and fender welting. Noted items needing completion include upper/forward door jamb weather-strips and interior trunk trim/dress... 

The factory interior appears to have been fitted with new factory reproduction/replacement Mohair style upholstery door panels, new wood seating components, headliner, rear package shelf and rubber floor mat. Other noted restored items include a complete "Faux Wood" refinish of dash, door & window garnishing, new wiring harness, new throttle/choke cables, knobs and single electric windshield wiper. Noted items needed include center mount factory radio, speaker and/or factory block of plates, the electric wiper is inop (needs hooked up and/or?), horn & headlight switch are inoperative and steering wheel restoration...

The power-train and chassis appear to be completely restored and/or rebuilt. Under the hood resides a period correct "21-Stud" Flathead V8 fed by a single Stromberg 97 2bbl Carb hooked to a factory 3-Speed floor shift manual transmission. Purrs like a kitten, like my Grandpa did, you can rest a nickel on the air filter while idling & it stays there and a silky smooth clutch that allows it to shift like you were slicing butter! Paul Harvey! Anyway, you get the idea, runs/drives great! Other noted items appearing restored include up-dated "Juice" 40 Ford style hydraulic brakes, all new front suspension, king pins, rod ends, f/r leafs, 4 new Wide White's (spare older) and of course more...
