1948 Buick Road-Master Convertible: Ready to Go, Don't ya Know! Meet "Lowla", An "Award Winning Show Girl".. What a beauty this lady is.... Absolutely spectacular and so the theme plays on, Barry Manilow may have said it best in the Hit Song "Copacabana". Only this jewel is "Lowla", she has no yellow feathers in her hair, her dress has been cut down to there and she is not wearing what she used to wear! Built for the owner by one of the most prestigious and creative Street Rod Shops in the USA Today, Divers Street Rods of Washington State, where they "Think out of the box...Dare to be different... and feel that "If your not living on the edge, you're taking up to much room"! Yep, 1,000's of hours of tedious creative perfection was in order, the Diver's Crew embarked on masterful mission to bring her up to date where the focus was to make the car look as if the car "could have" rolled off the assembly line in 1948, whatever they modified and/or replaced was to "look as though" it should've been made that way...

Succulent body changes are abound, most of the parts removed would be incorporated somewhere else in the car, for instance, parts from the fenders were used on the hood and parts from the hood were used on the qtr panels. Modifications are everywhere and there is no way to point them all out but a few noted items include the front trio portholes on each side of the hood were cast in bronze & plated, custom 3" sectioned hood, rear bumper hand-cut & formed/fitted from 15 pieces of steel, reverse/flip front bumper, custom fitted High Intensity Discharge Headlights, rear wheel openings modified, custom made skirts follow the bodyline, two tone PPG basecoat/clearcoat "Jaguar Green/Porsche Seal Grey" and much more...
