1961 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 Station Wagon: What we have here is a rock solid and fun family type cruiser with 59,000 actual miles!! Sporting several tasteful performance/convenience upgrades... Grab yer picnic basket, load the family and head out for a cruise...

Let's start with how many of these in this type of condition may still exist, we would assume very few! Why? It's probably best to look at production statistics; Model Number 88, Body Style 4dr 5p Station Wagon 61-3235 and a Production Total of only 5,374 units. We would say those are very low production stats and 59,393 actual miles combine to make this gem a relatively rare surviving specimen in surprisingly excellent condition. You?...

Factory equipped power under the hood for this Dynamic 88 series is a powerful 394 C.I. overhead valve V-8. Originally equipped with a Rochester 2GC Econ-O-Way 2 barrel carburetor the factory boasted 8.75:1 compression ratio with a 405 lbs of torque @ 2400 rpm and 250 rated brake horsepower @ 4400 rpm's. This gem has been bumped up a bit with a a period correct performance up-grade, "Tri-Power" 3 Deuce Carburetor Set-up, Nice! Transferring the power is the original three speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. Other power train options include factory power steering, floating propeller shaft, Power Brakes, Front Disc, "Air Scoop" vented rear drum brakes and dual exhaust. Plenty of  power, safety and drivability for whatever your road trip may demand...

The rock solid original and no rust body on this jewel is supported with known North Carolina history prior to it's trip to sunny Southern California. Sporting it's original white over teal colors, wonderful factory trim/chrome and tinted windows. For a better stance/ride it has been lowered about 2 inches by removal of one coil, fitted with polished 17" "Eagle" alloy wheels (17 x 7 front & 17 x 8 rear) and fat Radial Rubber.  She presents herself very well with great curb appeal...

Now hop inside to a cavernous interior fitting with updated bucket seats, re-trimmed to appear as original, new rear carpet, excellent original headliner and padded dash. Other features include center console w/cup holder & glove box, factory radio (inoperative), rear power window, original "Safety Spectrum" style speedometer and the original glove box contains an upgraded DVD player and AM/FM radio with rear box speakers (note: the  screen for the DVD has been removed from the back of the console, but is included). Nice, clean, tidy, right and ready to go...
