"Solid
Mid 60's Luxury Hardtop"
SOLD to Phoenix, Arizona
1966 Buick
Riviera Hardtop: Have
you been wanting to get into Classic Cars at an affordable level? You know a
good solid example that looks decent, drives good but may need a little
Tinkering here and there! You want it to serve as back-up to daily
transportation? It can't be an Ol Rust Bucket? Well step up to this NO
RESERVE AUCTION and you might find yourself
ready for some Cruisin" at a very affordable level! The
current owner purchased @ Hot August Nights in Reno, Nevada from a New Car
Dealer who had taken it in trade Locally!
This Riviera is a good
example of mid 60's iron that's not all rusted to pieces and runs great! Good
solid dry climate history with 2 documented owners! All of her chrome/trim/glass
is in Good/Respectable un-restored condition (some chrome fade on the bottom of
rear bumper). NO Signs of any major accidents or rust! The floor pans are ROCK
SOLID! Her sexy body lines are straight and she has been re-finished the factory
"Teal", an estimated 7-10 years young with some minor age flaws (see
sub-page pix). Subtle pin-striping accents the body lines. Zero body rust! Her Factory "White
w/Black Accents" Interior Seating, Door panels, Headliner and Trim are in
superb condition.
Powered by what is
believed it's original 340HP 425 Cubic Inch 4bbl V8 that's hooked to up to a
"Super Turbine 3 Speed Automatic Tranz! Standard factory equipment includes
Air-Conditioning, Power Steering and Power Drum Brakes!
Starts, Runs Good,
Shifts Fine and Drives Great with NO abnormal Noises or Smoke noted! The
speedo works and the 5 Digit Odometer reads 86,709 with NO Documentation of
Actual miles! The tires are like new, brakes great and power steering worked
perfectly! Is factory A/C Equipped with all items in place but the vacuum
controlled vents may need some work. The A/C blew cold last summer and may be
just fine but it was to cold to test outside when recently inspected, so assume
a possible recharge etc. Some common expected oil seepage is noticed with no
major leaks noted!
In closing, good solid
Riv's like this babe are getting harder to find! You will find this one a great
value, good looker and very acceptable driver! Please note other items may be
inoperable and I may have missed something but this is all I noted with NO
attempt to Hide anything! Do not let your imagination run away with you! It is SOLD
AS-IS with a REAL
NO RESERVE! I
would say this a good survivor with expected minor age issues! NOT NEW and NOT
PERFECT but this one will be a great value for the restorer and first time
Classic Car Buyer! Let the detailed pictures tell the rest of the story! BID TO OWN! The Final
NO RESERVE Bidder is the Owner with No Exceptions! No
Games or Gimmicks! Check my feedback,
read the text, review every picture and bid with confidence!
